Update on Virus  – Monday 11 May 2020

Good news  – the Government is now allowing unlimited outdoor exercise for all our physical fitness and mental welfare.

So ERS is now running private lessons for ALL independent riders (CB2, CB3, CB4; AB1, AB2) every day (except staff & horse Monday training day) from 9 am – 4pm, with Wednesday late night up to 8pm.

Bookings can be made online via THIS LINK – we highly recommend ½ hour lessons to start as we have all become rusty in the last 7 weeks – though not our horses and we thank our Yard Staff for keeping them well and exercised during these tricky times. Half hour lessons are especially important for CB2s and AB1s.

Getting all novice riders (CB½, CB1; AB) back in the saddle, group riding, and Gallivanters Bushcraft daycamping will take a little longer and we are hopeful for June onwards. However novices can start riding again immediately if they have a horse-competent parent, brother or sister who can lead their horse or pony as they learn. Do call us – 0208 995 3808 (and let transfer) for more information – horse-walking is a great outdoor experience and exercise.

Social distancing is in place throughout the yard and riders are asked to wash hands on entrance and exit. Riders who need to have a leader will need to bring along and wear a cotton snood/buff or an alternative face covering.

Garden compost (2 types – organic top soil and fresh manure) is available.

Organic Top Soil is available on Click & Collect, same day pickup, on this website/ Summer Compost for a limited period – £15 per 15kg bag. 10 bags max. Or call 07393 880522 to pay for collection.  Free delivery < 2miles for 10+ bags. BBQ firewood and Logs for seating also.

Fresh horse manure is always  available and free from the car park (this will shut now at 5 pm every day; open 9 am).

Thank you to everyone – particularly our volunteer staff who are now looking after 28 lovely horses and a variety of very naughty goats and silly chickens.

Welcome novice riders. Welcome expert riders. Welcome rusty riders. Welcome volunteers. Welcome parents and grandparents bringing children to our riding lessons. Welcome locals. Welcome horse lovers. Welcome visitors. Welcome horse riders from everywhere.

We are a very friendly yard in West London who work together as a team to create a warm atmosphere for both riders and visitors.

We cater for children (4yrs+) and adults from complete beginners to advanced. All our riding lessons are conducted in our outdoor schools by qualified instructors, using a variety of well schooled quality horses and ponies. We offer private lessons, semi private lessons, group lessons and jumping lessons, BHS Stage 1 and 2 training and limited disability rides.

We have 28 very safe horses varying from 11hh to 16’2hh and sympathetic instructors who are able to help with the more nervous type of rider and confidence building.
