Pony Club Achievement badges provide a fun and interactive way for members to develop their knowledge of horsemanship and give them the opportunity to develop the skills to care for Horses and Ponies and much more.

Two hours of riding a day combined with training

The Pony Club has provided the foundation for many of Britain’s top riders across all equestrian disciplines. By combining practical horsemanship and horse care with ridden learning, children develop into knowledgeable, confident and well-rounded equestrians. The Autumn terms badges will include the sport of Show Jumping, British Native Breeds, plus a badge chosen by the group in addition to ensuring all children can confidently put head collars on and lead their ponies and groom to a good standard plus the working dog badge. Existing members will begin working towards the theory required for their next Pony Club Efficiency Tests, while new members will start learning the knowledge needed to achieve their E Test.
In addition, for Independent Rider (CB2) & Confident Rider (CB3) levels you can also get booked into our Pony Club Riding & Horsemanship Classes which are 11 week courses on Fridays (starting on 11th September 2026 and ending on 4th December 2026 with a break for half term (i.e. no session on 30th October 2026)) as follows:

For CB1 level riders, we have a Pre Pony Club Horse Hour
Walk through the Gate and you will be told your horse for the hour. Tacking and untacking, observation and care will be your responsibility. We hope your create a very special bond weekly with a series of special horses. You will ride and undertake horsemanship lessons with your Coach.
