The Yard is receiving an arena upgrade between Monday 4 and Thursday 14 November. We are excited as it will mean higher performance riding, from novices to advanced, all throughout the year!
2 out of our 3 outdoor arenas are being moved from wood chip to a modern all-weather surface. The improved surface will benefit both rider and horse. The rider will enjoy a safe and springy floor with less stress and strain for the pony or horse.
The works will involve removal of the old surfaces and the installation of a new drainage base and performance surface. During this time we will be hosting heavy vehicles and material storage in our car park and yard.
We are running a slightly different schedule over this period. See below for details but if you have any questions, do get in touch!
5-8 & 12-13 November -1 arena open from 4.30pm onwards
Saturday, 9 November -looking for clients, volunteers & helpers to reassure our horses and ponies in exchange for free upskill lessons on horse handling, grooming, tacking & untacking, leading ponies, getting riders on (9-11.30am). We will also be running a rider balance class for children using Swiss balls (12-1pm; £10/child; call to book) and a Pony Club rugs and bandaging class (2-3pm; £10/child; call to book). A great opportunity to brush up on your skills, ask any questions you have always wanted to know the answer to, and just bond and gain confidence around these strong and sensitive animals.
