ERS Advance Academy

When your first riding trot seems a long way behind you, you want more variety in your riding - projects, dressage depth, jumping, hacking and expeditions, and to have a social group with the same ambitions.

Become a member of the ERS Advance academy to take your riding to the next level.

For advanced riders (levels CB2 and AB1 and above) riding with us on average 1-2 times a week who want to use Ealing Riding School as a base and centre of expertise.

Academy membership benefits:

ERS Advance Academy activities (all bookable via the "SCHEDULE" link in your membership subscription confirmation received from Acuity (not your Stripe payment confirmation)):

  • Lunging & Groundwork Workshop (course of 3) on 4th, 11th and 18th June from 19:30-20:30
    Learning how to lunge, the benefits of this and how to read body language dealing with different personalities.

  • Jumping Courses
    Riding lines and seeing a stride (course of 3) on 7th, 14th and 21st May from 18:00-19:00
    AND
    Gridwork with Gemma (course of 3) on 2nd, 9th and 16th July from 18:00-19:00
  • Dressage Anywhere www.dressageanywhere.com is an online platform to submit videos of yourselves riding a test judged by BD judges with scores and feedback given. It's also a competition whereby your scores are combined with all other external entries and placings and rosettes are awarded on the final submission date. It's a great way to get 'outside' feedback on your riding and enter a competition without having to go to another venue to do so.
    A course of 3 Dressage Anywhere Clinics on 4th, 11th and 18th June from 18:00-19:00 for up to 4 members to include filming session in week 3
  • Cross Country Outing on 30th July (venue TBC)
    4 member spaces (2 per each 90 minute session)
  • BHS silver challenge award Ride Safe - A 3 week course for the Ride Safe Silver challenge award which completes the stage one exam and gives direct entry to BHS stage 2 exams. Run by coach Gemma who is a fully qualified APC coach. Exam to be held on the last date. Silver award packs will be provided and certificates will be given once completed.     A course of 3 sessions on 31st May, 7th and 14th June from 16:00-17:30 for up to 4 members.
  • Rider Body Awareness & Biomechanics sessions led by coach Wiola Grabowska on 2nd and 16th July from 19:00-20:30. These are fantastic sessions for balance and core strength and being aware of weight shift/posture and how this affects the horse.
    Minimum 5 riders needed; FREE for members but please register in advance
  • Showjumping with external coach Alice Sweeney of LMEQ on 13th August 2025 for 2 riders each at 11am, 12pm and 1pm. Riders need to be CB3 or strong AB1 level upwards
